Most monitoring stops
where the hard part starts.

If you are evaluating us against the platforms everyone has heard of, here is the honest version — what they do well, where the architecture differs, and when you would be better off staying where you are.

First, what the established platforms do well

The large monitoring suites are mature, broad and genuinely capable. They have been refined over decades, they integrate with everything, and if your estate is already standardised on one there is a real case for staying. We are not going to pretend otherwise, and we will say the same thing on a call.

Where we are different

Three structural differences.

Not a longer feature list — three things about how the product is built that change what you can actually answer.

The sniffer keeps recording

Net-Monitor records the packets themselves, continuously, and keeps them. When a question arrives three weeks after the incident, the traffic is still there to answer it. Inspecting packets to produce a metric and recording them so they can be replayed later are two different jobs — most platforms only do the first.

Licensing that does not multiply

We license on three things: how many ports are on your network, how many WAN lines, and how many installations. Everything the platform does is inside that — discovery, mapping, traffic analysis, configuration management, the sniffer and the AI. No separate modules to buy, and no per-element count that climbs every time you add a device.

We are down the road, not across an ocean

Net-Monitor is an Israeli company. You get support in your own timezone, engineers who speak your language, and — when it matters — someone who can be on site rather than on a call bridge at three in the morning. Support from another continent cannot do that at any price.

What the difference looks like

This is the case counters cannot close.

Drag the timeline. Utilisation stays flat and comfortable for the entire incident and never once approaches its alert limit, while the experience falls apart. A platform watching counters has nothing to report here — which is precisely when the phone starts ringing.

What you will usually find elsewhere.

Described as categories rather than brands, because the architecture is what matters and it is shared across most of them.

Counters only

Most platforms poll device counters and stop there. They answer "is this link busy?" extremely well, and have nothing at all to say when the answer is no.

We read the traffic itself, which is where the answer lives when nothing is saturated.

Capture on demand

Where packet capture exists, it usually has to be started by hand once you already suspect something — which means the incident you needed is the one you missed.

Our sniffer is already recording before you knew there was a problem.

Priced by the thing

Licensing is commonly per sensor, per element or per module, so the bill grows every time the network does, and the useful features sit behind separate purchases.

One licence, everything included, priced on the size of the network rather than the number of things you watch.

Support somewhere else

Global vendors run support from their own headquarters and their own working day, which rarely lines up with a 3am incident in Israel.

Same timezone, same language, and on site if the situation calls for it.

Being straight with you

When we are not the right answer

If your network is small and stable and what you need is uptime checks rather than root cause analysis, a simpler tool will do that well and probably for less. If you are deeply integrated with an existing platform and depend on a module we do not build, staying put is the sensible call. We would rather tell you that on the first call than the fourth.
